The latest SiLM824x series launched by Suming Semiconductor is an isolated dual channel gate driver with different configurations. SiLM8243 and SiLM8244 are configured for high and low side drives, while SiLM8245 can provide two independent drive outputs. This driver series can provide a 4A output source current and a 6A injection current capability, and its driving output voltage can support up to 33V. SiLM8243 and SiLM8244 support programmable dead zone, which adjusts the dead zone time by adjusting the external resistance of the DT pin. The DIS pin can be used to enable or disable two drive outputs.
SiLM824x offers different UVLO threshold options, enabling it to drive various power devices. Especially with the option of low UVLO threshold, it can be used to drive GaN power devices. SiLM824x, combined with a power supply design based on GaN power devices, can achieve higher operating frequencies and faster switching speeds, helping to improve the efficiency and power density of the power supply, and reducing the size and cost of the power system.
