On May 24-26, the 16th (2023) International Solar Photovoltaics and Smart Energy Conference and Exhibition was grandly held at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center. SiLM6000/6000S chip and solution for solving distributed photovoltaic security issues
With the increasing number of distributed installations, the safety issue of how to apply water to extinguish fires in case of fire is in front of the industry. Everyone is aware of its importance, and the industry needs highly reliable and cost-effective solutions to make up for security deficiencies.

The highly integrated ASIC solution independently developed by Shuming Semiconductor: safely shuts off the SiLM6000/SiLM6000S chip, with component level fast shutdown function. Integrated with power management, SunSpecTM protocol PLC signal analysis, logic control unit, MOSFET driver, and 1V low voltage output in off state, real-time control of photovoltaic panels is achieved using power line carrier communication technology (PLC), without the need for additional wiring, plug and play.

In case of an emergency, the component level fast shutdown product based on the SiLM6000/SiLM6000S chip solution of Digital Semiconductor can achieve remote or manual fast shutdown. Within 8 seconds after startup, the voltage within the limit range can be reduced to below 80V, and the string voltage on the cable can be reduced to below 30V. Quickly and effectively ensure the safety of power plants and personnel.

Intelligent Optimization Chip SiLM6120 and Its Solution for Digital Semiconductor
Optimization and data collection and monitoring are another direction for the industry's development towards refinement and precise operation and maintenance. Shuming Semiconductor is committed to the development of component level MPPT optimization chips and solutions, and has collaborated with partners to develop "optimization+monitoring" component level solutions and plug-in products. Through component level MPPT, current mismatch problems caused by shadow or component attenuation can be solved, and power generation losses can be recovered. By monitoring and clearly understanding the voltage, current, and temperature of the components, users can compare and analyze the data from the future to locate the problematic components. Through feature analysis, it can determine whether it is caused by shadows or the component's own abnormalities, thus accurately locating and quickly eliminating defects.
